Sailing in Guadeloupe
The surrounding islands of the archipelago of Guadeloupe or the small islands like Caret or Petite Terre are popular destinations for yachtsmen. From Guadeloupe, one can choose their cruise amongst the many different formulas available.
For ordinary sea charters, it is possible to go on a day cruise, to the Saintes, Marie Galante, Petite Terre or Dominique. Many companies offer "all inclusive" formulas, from Bas du Fort marinas, from Saint François, Rivière Sens, or Deshaies or Bouillante.

For longer periods, it is possible to hire boats, monocoques or catamarans, with or without a skipper, and with or without the service of a crew. There are a lot of companies to choose from so don't hesitate to compare prices.

Just recently, new companies have started to offer cabin cruises or the opportunity to hire a "floating hotel room" in a catamaran where everything is included. It is possible also to leave solo or to join a group. Sporty or comfortable, each can choose the cruise formula that suits him or her.

For tighter budgets, for a picnic on a desert island, it is possible to rent little motor boats with or without a license.

Finally, in hotel clubs, many hobbie-cats and other sailing dinghies are offered to sailing enthusiasts.
